Whether it's removing the new $100,000 charitable giving tax credit cap, or underwriting loans to install rooftop solar, Opportunity Party knows austerity will never lead to equitable prosperity. To build the systems for a sustainable, prosperous future, we need to fund them.

This event at Mountain Club will open with two non-partisan leaders in their fields, who will present a problem New Zealand is facing, and how they think it should be addressed.  As the founder and CEO of 45South Community Foundation (formerly Wakatipu Community Foundation), Jennifer Belmont is a pioneering leader in philanthropy. She has redefined local philanthropy by introducing innovative funding models that engage donors, businesses, and nonprofits, and actively contributed to the Shift the Power movement, which promotes equitable, locally-driven charitable giving. Josh Ellison is the co-founder and Research Lead at Rewiring Aotearoa. Rewiring Aotearoa is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit organisation. It is a registered charity working on energy, climate, and electrification research, and supporting communities through the energy transition.

After hearing from Jennifer and Josh, Opportunity Party leader Qiulae Wong and Queenstown-based Southland electorate candidate Bianca Beebe will then present the ideas Opportunity has to address both these issues. Join us for an enlightening evening and casual discussion on how we can get more money where it will do the most good.

Will you come?
