Auckland Central and Epsom hold some of the most captivating business, hospitality, entertainment and lifestyle opportunities Auckland City has to offer. Yet like much of Aotearoa, these areas are feeling the pinch of a challenging economy instigated by geopolitical uncertainty, and a slew of challenges coming our way — making it more important than ever to champion the people and places that make this city thrive.

Come along to hear from the local candidates joined by special guest, Qiulae Wong, Leader of the Opportunity Party to learn about Opportunity’s vision for a prosperous future for all in Aotearoa, and ask the questions that matter to you.

Johan Chang is standing for Auckland Central and comes with a background in journalism and political science. That experience means he sees Aotearoa at a challenging set of crossroads, with big, complex problems that require well-tested and meaningful long-term solutions. It's something he believes that's something only achievable with a stable government that makes human-centric decisions focused on long-term goals that requires cross-aisle support. Importantly, he wants to see the political elite return to being public servants and actually serve the New Zealand public.

Paul Jackson is standing for Epsom, and has a background in commerce and science. He's spent his career in logistics, and has always been passionate about Kiwi businesses, while carrying the same passion for New Zealand as a whole, with a firm belief in our ability punch above our weight globally. He believes successive New Zealand governments have meandered along without properly addressing issues and now is the time for difficult conversations.

Whether you're a supporter, a curious voter, or simply interested in local issues, everyone is welcome, Haere mai, nau mai!
