As the Southland candidate, I'll be in Invercargill for the day and I'm keen to hear your thoughts! 

As we are neighbouring electorates, I'd love to talk to people in Invercargill about plans to strategically vote so Southland and Invercargill can maximise the number of MPs from the region who will go to Parliament to represent us. As party vote for Opportunity can make me a list MP, and I want to listen to how I could best advocate for you from that position.  

The main issue I see in this region is infrastructure spending. The Southland region has the 2nd largest roading network in the country and an enormous infrastructure funding gap. Local RUCs and user levies fund large projects in the north island rather than maintenance here. Opportunity’s “Intergenerational Infrastructure” policy proposes a $60 billion investment in NZ infrastructure, and our "Healthy Land & Water" policy discusses how important it is to acknowledge our natural landscape as critical infrastructure.
