New Zealand is at a crossroads

New Zealand feels kind of broken right now...

Politics is flip-flopping between left and right, instead of moving us forward.

Our economy is stalling. Nature is struggling.

So, let's fix it.

Your donation helps fix politics.

We'll use every dollar raised to reach more Kiwis.

You'll be powering the team, tools and platform that we need to get to Wellington.

Who's funding this?

AJ Wilderland

AJ Wilderland

AJ Wilderland is a New Zealand entrepreneur and co-founder of Serato, the Auckland music technology company that helped reshape modern DJing and grew into a globally recognised software platform.

Having built a global company from New Zealand, AJ has seen both what this country makes possible and where its systems hold people back. He supports Opportunity because he believes New Zealand needs serious, practical reform: lower barriers for people trying to build things, fairer foundations for families and young people, and economic policy that looks beyond the next election cycle.

AJ brings a systems-thinking founder’s perspective to the party’s work, with a focus on productivity, innovation, housing, cost of living, and long-term economic resilience. He serves on the board of The Opportunity Party and is one of its financial supporters.

Philip Mills

Philip Mills

Phillip is a New Zealand entrepreneur, former Commonwealth Games athlete, and the founder and Managing Director of Les Mills International.

Beyond business, Phillip is a strong advocate for environmental action and sustainable economic thinking. He co-founded Pure Advantage, a group of business leaders pushing for a greener, more forward-looking New Zealand economy.

Phillip supports Opportunity because of its focus on long-term thinking and tackling the big challenges facing New Zealand - particularly climate change and building a more sustainable, future-focused economy.

Donation FAQs

Why should I donate to Opportunity?

Your donation directly funds our mission to fix politics in New Zealand. Every dollar helps us reach more people, run more ads, and build the platform we need to compete.

Who's putting up the match funding?

Shout out to fitness entrepreneur Philip Mills and tech founder AJ Wilderland for offering up to $150K of match funding.

What will you spend my donation on?

Your donation buys us the people and placements we need to get the word out about Opportunity. We’ll spend it on hiring key staff, supporting our growing team of volunteers, running market stalls, advertising and a whole range of other tactics to get out the vote.

Is my donation tax deductible?

Donations to political parties are not tax deductible in NZ.

Will my donation be public?

It depends on the amount. If you choose not to provide identifying information, we can only retain up to $1,500 of your donation. If you donate more than $6,000 to the Party, we are required by electoral law to disclose your name, address, and donation amount in our annual return to the Electoral Commission. Donations over $20,000 must also be disclosed to the Electoral Commission (and be made available to the public) within 20 working days.

Who can donate?

New Zealand citizens, people legally registered as NZ electors, and organisations or companies based or registered in New Zealand can donate any amount.

Can I donate if I'm from overseas?

If you are a New Zealand citizen or registered voter, then yes.
