Finn Liley
Finn was born and raised in Rotorua, where he developed a strong interest in environmental and conservation issues.
While still in high school, Finn organised the local School Strike for Climate march, ensuring that young people's voices were heard in environmental policy.
He was also the campaign manager for the Weweia in the 2024 Bird of the Year competition, and spread considerable awareness for the threatened species, which has a significant population in the lakes surrounding Rotorua.
After finishing high school, Finn moved to Wellington to study a degree in politics and public policy. While studying, he contributed to urban conservation efforts by running a trapping line in the community.
After graduating, he worked as an emergency medical call taker for Wellington Free Ambulance, being the first point of contact for people across the country experiencing medical emergencies.
Finn has been involved with the Opportunity Party since 2022, and held several leadership positions within its youth wing, Young Opportunity, including Treasurer and President.
Finn is standing for the Opportunity Party as they are the only party who are willing to work with all and aim to provide long term solutions, rather than temporary fixes, to the issues that Kiwis are facing.
