It's been a few big weeks in politics and actions undermining the trust and role of the Government, so let's talk about our Clean Up Politics approach. 

1. Government uses Budget urgency to pass bill allowing the automation of welfare decisions. No select committees, no consultation, no due dilligence and frankly a mess awaiting to happen.  

2. A document relating to the Smith v Fonterra legal case was sent from a Fonterra staff member to the private email address of a former Chief Policy Adviser in the Prime Minister's Office. The Ombudsman has initiated its own review into how the OIA release was handled. More details to come.
