Simon DellaBarca
Simon has spent most of his life in practical, hands‑on work. He’s never seen himself as someone with political aspirations, but after years of watching life get harder and more uncertain for people, he’s had enough of waiting for someone else to put forward a brave vision for New Zealand and is backing Opportunity as the party to do just that.
As a dad, he worries about the future his son is growing up into - the rising cost of living, the pressure on young people and families, and the way technology is reshaping work faster than people can keep up with. What frustrates him most is the lack of real action on issues that affect us. Too often, politics feels like noise instead of solutions.
Simon has supported the Opportunity Party since its inception because he believes in evidence, fairness, and policies that actually help. He wants to see a country where everyone has a stable foundation and a fair go.
Outside of politics, Simon is happiest surfing, riding bikes and enjoying family time. He’s putting his hand up not because he loves the spotlight, but because he believes ordinary, everyday Kiwis deserve a voice in Parliament.
