Dr Naomi Pocock has a varied background, with corporate experience at Hewlett Packard (HP) and Ernst & Young (EY) in New Zealand and Europe. She set up and sold a sports business in Ireland, has taught at the University of Waikato, is a life member of her local playcentre, and has been delivering climate and planetary health workshops to councils, business, community groups and students. She is a published author of research based on her PhD thesis, entitled “Concepts of home for returned long-term travellers.”
Naomi campaigned for Opportunity (TOP) as a Hamilton candidate in 2020, 2022 (by-election) and 2023. She has also been a contributor to the party's education and environmental policies.
Naomi enjoys playing sports with her children, speaks fluent German, is embarking on her Te Ao Māori journey (levels 3 & 4), and is passionate about making a difference for New Zealanders across all policy areas.
