Jodie Kuntzsch
For Jodie Kuntzsch, it’s always been about bringing people together—backing communities and ideas that deserve the chance to grow.
With more than 20 years’ experience across the seafood and aquaculture sectors, Jodie has worked at the intersection of industry, innovation, and sustainability in Aotearoa and around the world. From helping ideas get off the ground to supporting industries to grow and adapt, she’s focused on turning potential into reality. Before joining Opportunity, she led the formation of Moananui, connecting ocean-based businesses and innovators so they could go further, together.
As a mum, an immigrant, and an entrepreneur, Jodie has seen firsthand what’s possible when people are given the chance to step up and build something for themselves and their families. It’s what drives her in politics—creating more jobs, backing regional communities, and strengthening our natural resilience.
When not campaigning, you’ll find her trying out new recipes on harsh critics (her children), enjoying local hospitality, running the trails behind Nelson, or curled up on the porch with an inspiring read and a cup of tea.
