About Dave
Originally from the UK, Dave first visited New Zealand in 2003 and moved here permanently in 2017.
In between times, his parents, sisters, aunties, and cousins had all moved here and made New Zealand their home too!
With an MBA in infrastructure asset management, Dave has spent his career making things work better. This includes senior roles at Dunedin City Council and Health NZ (including overseeing the New Dunedin Hospital build), and he currently serves at Gore District Council.
Dave believes strong communities are built by people who pitch in.
He volunteers his time chairing the Dunedin Fringe Arts Trust, and coaching rugby at his local club. Dave has previously served on the boards of Habitat for Humanity and Presbyterian Support Otago.
With his wonderful wife, their two doggies and four alpacas, Dunedin is home. And Dave is standing for Opportunity to bring sensible, long-term thinking back to New Zealand.
